Automatically reads every conversation turn and writes it into the memory bank (per-turn capture); recall/reflect/retain tools read memories back into model context in later sessions. In cloud mode, conversation-derived content goes to Vectorize's cloud service; local modes write a local database. The catalog description also notes: hermes memory setup fetches its bank-template catalog from raw.githubusercontent.com (vectorize-io/hindsight main branch).
It registers as a memory provider through the Hermes plugin catalog format (a catalog YAML pinning the reviewed commit of vectorize-io/hindsight), plugging into Hermes' memory-provider seam and the per-turn capture middleware/hooks. Claude Code, OpenClaw and DSH have no such provider interface; the same code cannot load in another host.
Risk
Every memory-layer risk applies: per-turn capture means sensitive conversations enter the bank unfiltered; one injected turn can persist malicious memories, and every later recall re-injects them; cloud mode exports conversation data. Bank templates are fetched from the upstream repo's main branch — upstream tampering flows straight into your setup (supply chain).
