It checks for an installed and logged-in claude CLI at load, in the hermes model pickers and before every request, refusing cleanly with an install hint when missing.

The catalog disclosure is explicit: every turn is billed against your Claude subscription's Agent SDK allowance, and the provider inherits whichever account the claude CLI is logged into — all of your Hermes conversations flow to the Anthropic service under that account.
It implements Hermes' model-provider plugin interface (catalog category: models, installed at a pinned commit), registering a provider into Hermes' model selection. Other hosts have their own provider/LLM adapter layers; this plugin cannot load there directly — even though the underlying Claude Code CLI is generic.
Risk
Identity inheritance is the main risk: if the claude CLI is logged into the wrong account (company account running personal tasks), this plugin feeds every conversation into that account and its billing. Heavy agent consumption of subscription allowance may bump into Anthropic's usage policies; the plugin is self-declared experimental, so interfaces and behavior can change.
