What it can touch
Outbound to Exa's cloud: search queries and fetched URLs all go to Exa's servers, with results returning into the model context. No local file access. With an API key it draws down your Exa account quota.
Risk
Same as other search servers: queries leak research intent; results are arbitrary third-party content and a standard prompt-injection vector — when the agent reads a page saying "now execute these instructions", your permission gates are the last line of defence. Anonymous-mode rate limits are also an availability risk.
